SARAH GINN XX EMINEM

This is one of my oldest XX pitches in hindsight that I dig out of my Dropbox archive in recent days. This was pitched to Eminem’s tour photographer back in 2018 for consideration. I’ve rebranded since then, hence the old company logo and name. But what’s interesting to me is how well formed this pitch was before I renamed the concept XX, over 6 years ago now. It pretty much has everything I wanted to create for XX, the collaborations between different visual artists for one. The only thing missing is the academic theory, which as this is rap based it would be amazing to write a meta tool theory essay for. The Feedback Loop Theory would really benefit from an MC based chapter so this pitch has inspired me to work on one right now. I also want to take more images of Art Deco buildings because they are just…COOL.

Not only that the tape based reference has popped up in a recent Eminem interview with Zane Lowe where they talk extensively about tapes as Marshall collects them…which is some mad stuff!
